My stainless Smith and Wesson Kit Gun does it for me. It has the mechanical accuracy of the larger and heavier K-22, but is a bit harder to shoot well, due to it smaller size and weight.

The one I shoot most is a S&W M34. I carry a J frame .38 everyday, and use the .22 for left hand practice. The most fun? That would be a Colt MT Woodsman, 4”.

I could barely see it at twenty feet but I nicked it once. Fun stuff.

For looks, Korth 30series but it does not shoot better than my favorite 24 series. After I got the first Korth I gave the Colt OMM to my son and have shot the 1952 vintage K-22 maybe twice.

    Model 34 Kit Gun

Had this for a long time and as my old eyes have trouble with open sights I put a dot on it. I glued (using aircraft proseal sealant) a piece of 3/8 .22 rail on to mount the sight. I can remove the rail and sealant at anytime and put the rear sight on, works great.

For 22Lr; the 617, 17 and The Outdoorsman my Grandfather gave me long ago. In CF revolver I like the Ruger Flat top 44 Special..In Autos I like my Dan Wesson Valor 9mm Commander.

My choice exactly! My dad bought it in 1953 and I have enjoyed it since then. An amazing gun.
I also have its companion, a 1954 Colt 3 5 7. It was my duty weapon for many years.

Back when I was just starting to shoot with a Smith model 15, my LGS talked me into a matching S & W Model 18. I'd then usually start a practice session with a box or two of .22s, then 50-100 rounds of .38 special. If I did my job right, tghat M18 would put them in the X riing all day.
