Original Redfield front sight blade (not a repro), fits into a longitudinal slot. and is secured by a pin. "Sourdough" style, with a chunk of brass bonded into the top front corner and faced off at 45 degrees to catch the light.

The mounting tab on the bottom fits a slot about .113" wide, and the top of the sight blade is about .220" above the bevel where the tab goes into the slot. (You can see the shadow of this bevel right above the word "REDFIELD" in the 1st pic.)
One owner (me), bought in the 1970's (I think), never installed anywhere.
