    Help With Casting Please

New guy to casting her, sorry. I put a picture of a slug I cast. If you notice the tip looks dirty for lack of a better word. The rest of the slug is shiny. This happens with any slug or ingot I try to make. I've tried different heats. I've fluxed. I've cleaned my pot. I've fluxed in a different pot then cast from a clean one. This occurs with bottom poor or laddle poor. I buy the lead from ROTO Metals. Honestly i don't even know if it's a problem I should be worried about. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.Ive been having problems uploading pictures, so I also made the slug picture my profile pic.Click image for larger version.

I don't see a problem. Have you shot any of them?

I'd load em & go shooting.. I have a couple molds that do that , some in only certain cavities. Haven't noticed any difference from the "shiny" ones.

The shiny ones don’t shoot any better than not shiny! Load em & shoot em

Load 'em up and shoot them. Consider yourself lucky that your first cast looks that good.

Awesome. Thanks for the advise. It'll be a couple of weeks before I get another good loading session and go shoot but I'll post an update.
