just got a single cavity 243 mold this week. when casting i noticed that i have to run the mold and pour fast and hot to get good bullets. is this a thing with small caliber molds? i have never cast anything smaller than 30 caliber. this single cavity is slow but it is better than nothing. been looking for a 2 or 4 cavity mold but everyone is still out of alot of stuff.

I had the same experience when I started casting with that exact design but in 2 cavity. Smallest prior was 357 that I cast. My solution was increasing the tin content in my alloy and increasing the flow coming from my pot.
