    Pedersoli Carbine Trapdoor

    I have been tempted by this rifle at my LGS for a while now, with some influence from my wife it came home with me..

    Oh boy...you are in trouble. Trapdoors are sneaky. You do fine with out one for years. Then you buy one. Soon they start inviting their friends and family to come and live with you. I have told mine that they can not have any more family come to live with us! Unless it happens to be an officers model or a cadet rifle or...
    If you are going to shoot black powder get Spence Wolfs book..

    Let us know what it likes. Those rifles have a modern chamber in them, quite different from an original trapdoor. Likely it will be easier to find a really good load for it but having never owned one I am curious to hear what you find.
