Rem Arms New 870 12 bore

Local gun shop has a new Rem Arms 870 Camo with 3.5 inch chambers
Hope to see other Rem Arms guns in the months to come.

I bought one of those 3-1/2" chambered 870's to shoot turkeys. After the shot I would be on my back in the camo tent. Tried to snub the recoil by putting lead in stock. Then I got hit with a heavier gun. They work great with 1-1/8 oz. though.

You can't outrun Newton's Laws of Motion without adding weight. I love my Mossy 500!

I got one of those things a few years back. Mostly 1 1/4 oz.loads of #5’s for those tall pines the squirrels love to hide in!! They do have a pronounced recoil impulse if you load up the 3.5 inchers,
but otherwise it’s a great gun . I like that they didn’t put the Remington 880 bolt setup in the 870 Super Mags. Good gun all around.
I firmly believe that you should only get treated by how you act, not by who or what you are!!

If what leaves the muzzle is similar to a 10 gauge, the gun should weigh as much as a 10 gauge, or it will hurt the shooter a lot.

Nothing here I need a 3 1/2 inch shell to hunt. 2 3/4 works fine.
I'm too old for hard kicking guns any more.

I had a Winchester Super X2 auto loader that would take 3-1/2" shells. Not bad at all to shoot and would really knock the geese down.

Attachment 287491 I second that Taz. Those hard kickers are not as much fun as they used to be.
IT AINT what ya shoot--its how ya shoot it. NONE of us are as smart as ALL of us!
