    Belding & Mull powder measure

Does anyone know where I can get the brass measuring tube that holds the powder charge for a Belding & Mull powder measure? Does anyone make them? Thanks for any help!

ebay is the best option, you could post a WTB ad in ss section here also.
I have looked for new before and could not find any.

You can use the tube measures made for black powder too. It's the same size as the B&M tubes.
Or if your handy, you can make your own from 1/5" tubing.

They are easy enough to make with simple hand tools. Online metals have the brass tubing by the foot. Your local hardware store has the rest.

    Materials
    1/2" brass tubing; 1/2" od X 3/8" Id X 4" long
    3/8" round stock or tubing if tubing 3/8"Od X 1/4" Id X 4" long
1/2" stop collar 1 for each tube
    JB weld epoxy

Cut tubing to length deburr and fit together some polishing is required for a good fit.
fit stop collar to 1/2" tube.
if using tubing for inner tube roughen inside of 1 end 1/2"-3/4" deep and fit a card board disc in to that depth.
Mix JB weld to instructions and fill end of tube full then clue the stop collar onto the end of the 1/2" tube around 1/4"-3/8" from bottom. let cure
spot the stop collar hole thru the tube with a drill. remove burrs from inside.
If you want a concave end on the tube use a 3/*" ball on the tube when filling with epoxy, these are also available thru online metals. Wax the ball and outer tube with 2-3 coats of wax before doing this.

It took me longer to type this out than it does to make them if you have all the materials together on hand.

    Tools required
    tubing cutter
burr knife or deburring tool A reloaders tool dies a nice job.
    fine 6" file and handle
jewelers set is nice but not needed
some assorted sand paper from 220-600 grit
A drill bit usually a 1/2" stop collar is a 1/4 20 set screw so a #7 or 3/16 drill bit if you have the tap you can run the thread thru.

    Hope this helps you out.

No. I'm looking for the separate brass container that the powder charge goes into

I bought a Treso black powder measure to use with the B&L measures, but it needed a couple thousands polished off to work smoothly.

You can also make dedicated tubes from 7 mag or .300 Win mag cases, cut to length. you will have to expand the mouth until you get the right fit.

That Montana vintage Arms measure is sure nice looking.

I made some from aluminum rod and aluminum tubing from HD. The rod fits the tube and tube fits the BM, perfectly. I drilled a hole in tube and screwed in a cap screw and made divots in the rod to lockdown. I started off using colored sharpies to mark the divots to have a few settings. I wont go on about attempting charts and rather a fixed measure anyways but I may return

I bought mine mostly on Ebay. There are micrometer and non-micrometer ones available. I have a few setup for specific charges.

If you want the Cadillac version of the drop tube, you can make one like an old machinist/bench rest shooter made for me. He took a piece of brass tubing to fit, then mounted a Starrett micrometer head with a close fitting brass plug added. The user can get absolute repeatability and these were the “hot tip” in the BR game right up until the Harrell unit sort of took over.
