I think it would be good in the old 73 44-40s with slightly oversized bores.
What diameter does that mold drop?
Looks like .434-.435 on the hard alloy boolits that came with it.
Haven't tried soft yet but it should be around .432.
Who is the maker of that mold? Looks maybe like a rapine design. Any pictures of the mold?

There's no maker's marking on the mold but it is obviously of RCBS design.
And, the bullet looks exactly like a design that's marketed by Buffalo.
Good Cheer - Appreciate the photos. I have looked at those bullets that Buffalo Arms sells before. Great looking mold ya got there. It looks like something that someone modified - Have not seen one like that cataloged anywhere. Curious about the maker because your mold is set up as a nose pour design. If RCBS ever did nose pour designs, I am not aware of it. Wonder if it could be some other custom maker? I do see the RCBS handles though. I have a similar looking Rapine, but the setup is not near as nice - a little bit cheesy. Have thought about sending it to Eric at HP Mold service for modifications tp something similar to yours. Mine is a PIA to disassemble. All pins instead of bolts - Also Aluminum. Thanks again

Got it disassembled and soaking. Going to do a total clean up and reassembly with nickel never seize.
I suspect that it was made on contract by RCBS, using the same design set-up that they typically use on their hollow base minie molds.
Sold my 44-40 carbine and six shooter years ago. If this mold stays around long enough I'll probably be wanting a 1858 Remington and a percussion carbine to shoot it!
