    Norma 202 / Rl-12 308 load data request

I’m having a hard time finding load data for Norma 202 which is the same powder as the discontinued Reloder 12.

Norma has jacketed load data but I’m looking for 180 grain cast 308 data .

Any help would be greatly appreciated .

    From Speer # 11, pp. 455-456
W-W cases, 180 Bullet, COAl not specified, 22" barrel Remington 700
    start 40.0 grains--2161 fps
    Max 42.0 grains--2275 fps
It was an excellent choice for the 30-30, using H-335 Data for heavier (170 grn ) bullets, but IMO it is a little too fast for best results in a 308. I shot up a pound of it in 30 grain increments using 311-041 bullets gas checked with NRA 50-50 lube.

Hercules listed no loads for this powder for bullets weighing over 168 grains. I have never seen cast data for this Powder in the 308. However, if I were to be gifted wth a pound or two I would start at 26.5 grains (Lyman's suggested start load for a 311-467, 178 gr. boolit with h-335), and adjust to reach best accuracy, going up in half grain steps. to a Max of 40 grains.

Thanks for that info. I really appreciate it.
202 is what I use in my j word dedicated 308 with 150’s and that rifle shoots holes-touching groups but I had never seen any cast data for it.

    Again, thanks for the reply!
