Dat boy was framed fer sure. Too cute to be cat attack dog. And most cats would eat his lunch. Cat probably had a heart attack. Your gain, he's a cutie

[QUOTE=ryanmattes;5230296]There's at least some German Shepherd or closely related breed in there, based on body, head, and muzzle shape. Beyond that, it's pretty hard to say. Dog genes are weird, and combinations can come out in unexpected ways.

That is true but those two may both have different fathers in the same litter it happens all the time.

Looks kind of like my Mississippi Black Mouth Cur, which is related to the Mountain Cur dogs.

Old picture. He's 13 now. But back in the day he'd tree squirrels on sight, which is kind of special. Good all round dog, breed from down in Mississippi, and meant to guard the homestead, protect the womenfolk, coon hunt, and squirrel hunt. And, he's smarter than I am.

I think that thing gave Sir Conan Doyle nightmares while writing the hound of the Baskervilles
When I think back on all the **** I learned in high school it's a wonder I can think at all ! And then my lack of education hasn't hurt me none I can read the writing on the wall.
