    IMI 5.56 brass

Picked up some of this today. Anyone have experience loading it? Does it need to be decrimped?

    Thanks

The IMI brass that I've come across just gets processed like the rest. Throw it in a primer swage, trim it, good to go. Some of mine have 9 loadings on them, no issues. I do anneal every few loadings.

IMI is all crimped I believe. Good cases though.

It is good brass I load medium velocity loads and with a little trimming it will last over 10 loads with no issues.

Its pretty good brass. I've loaded a good bit of it. Like the others have said, it has a crimped primer.

I bought a bunch of new IMI brass many years ago. being brand new, it had never been primed or crimped. some of it has been loaded many times by now. it is really good brass to work with.

I was gifted some IMI 7.62 match brass in the 90s. I got about 25 loadings out of it necked down to 7-08. Good stuff.
