I cut a plastic 35mm film canister off, fitted it around the ram. This channels the spent primers down and holds them until the slot in the ram clears and allows the spent primer to drop into the catcher. Takes a little fiddling around to get it right but it slips on and off as needed./beagle

2 versions of an RC primer catcher. The brass tube inside the ram is common to both. I used brass from the hobby shop but I've seen guys use straws.

Nice engineering. I assume you donít prime with the standard priming arm on your RCBS press with that brass tube in the ram?

No, I started with a RC Kit that had a hand primer and upgraded later to the APS bench primer.

I have a Redding T-7 that has pretty good spent primer handling. More often than I liked, a spent primer would pop out thru the milled out slot in front of the ram. I cut a piece of 1/4" felt I had on hand and fitted it in the slot. This directed the spent primer down the hollow ram thru the tube into the coffee can that I collect spent primers in. If I ever fill the coffee can, I'll post here asking for suggestions about what to do with them.
