    Enough?

Lyman 358156 HP or solid traveling 1640 fps. Deer worthy within 75 yards?

If you do your part with shot placement, I don't see any problem.

Don't hit any part you plan to eat, it'll leave a wound channel that will look like a baseball went through it.

This is the end result of a 200 gr [RCBS 35-200-FN] out of a 35 Remington at 2,150 fps cast of COWWs + 2% tin then mixed 50/50 with lead and AC'd. Bullets were HP'd 3/16" deep with a 1/8" Forster HP tool. Deer was 90 yards +/- away.

As is said; "you can eat right up to the hole....."

The 358156 HP as the OP mentions will do just fine.

Always looks worse than it really is when the blood shot hasn't been cleaned off. Not really any worse than most every other wounds. If you are going to shoot a deer there will always be some damage, especially if a quick clean kill is wanted. This deer staggered maybe 20 feet sideways and went down.

Had that very mold in hand yesterday but elected not to purchase. Wishing I had.
Actually had the Ideal mold and the Lee mold Larry shows in my hands. The Lee is a bit too long to feed in the 35 Whelen or it would have come home with me.
