    Max Loads for 7.62X25 Tok?

I'm working up loads for my CZ(VZ)-52 using 75 gr Lyman PC pills. I've found that they only shoot well when pushed hard. The hottest load I've found in my manuals is 6.2 gr of Unique. Recoil is mild and there are no pressure signs. I'm sure I could go hotter. Any load recommendations? Powders I've got on hand, Unique, 231, TG, 296, Power Pistol, WST.

    makarov.com has Tok load data

I've only shot the lee 93 grn RN over 4.9 grns BE.

I've found hotter unique loads for heavier boolits online but haven't tried them

I'm having a brain fart. What is BE a abbreviation for? When I first got the CZ52, I thought I got a lemon. Thing could barely cut paper with the mid power listed loads. Bumped it up to max and she improved drastically. These guns weren't designed to shoot target loads.

BE = Alliant Bullseye. Lyman Cast Bullet Handbook 4th Edition (2010) has data for .30 Mauser and 7.62 Tokarev on p.236

Max. load listed 5.2 grains with #313249, 85 grains #2 alloy at OAL 1.29" would not cycle either my Cz52 or 1953 Polish TT33 at 100%. So I increased charge to 5.3 grains with Accurate 31-087B to get reliable function in both pistols, but most accurate loads were 100-grain 31-100T with full charge 7.4 grains AutoComp

I couldn't get Unique to cycle mine. BUT I like loading them pretty much full of W296 - it shoots well and sends a BIG fireball out the barrel.

The first CZ52 I had back in the early 90’s came in before any handloading components were available and the only surplus ammo available was machine gun ammo that was very hot. Shot several thousand through mine with no ill effects. And…….they would go through 5/8 diamond plate at 25 yards!
