Bad news, I got the siamese mauser action and it has the wrong bolt, the bolt in it is small and fits a piece of 308 brass.....guessing its a 8mm bolt from a 98 Mauser..............Any idea on where to get a Siamese 8 x 52r bolt from???? Kind Regards
I would try Numrich. Does the 98 bolt fit and function? I wonder what kind of story is behind that situation? If you are rebarreling it and the bolt does fit, the bolt face can be opened to 30-40 Krag/.303 British/ belted magnum size- which is what the original bolt face was. I remember using a Timney 98 trigger and a Numrich scope safety on my Siamese SO long ago- but I don't know much else. My Siamese had a McGowan 30-40 barrel and it was a great gun.
