I bought one this weekend and am curious as to what molds you can run besides magma. I like arsenal molds and want to get a 2 cavity hg503 copy for this unit, what modification is needed for mold to function?

You have to modify the mold for the mounting keys (which hold the mold in place on the swing arm) and for the Magma sprue cutter. I've got molds from Magma, RCBS, Saeco and Lyman for my Master Caster. The Lyman molds use a smaller block and overheat faster, but the others are pretty much the same size as the Magma blocks. I have no experience with Arsenal molds, so can't advise on those.

    Hope this helps.

Yes, you need the Magma style sprue cutters. One arm on the sprue cutters moves to cut the sprue off, and the other moves the sprue cutter back into position when you move the carrier back under the pour spout.

    Hope this helps.
