WTS - Warner No. 1 and Apertures

For Sale - Warner No. 1 Sight, and Apertures

This is a one owner, lightly used Warner No. 1 sight. The sight alone is $700. Both apertures would be included for $100, making the total $800. Free shipping in a U. S. Postal FRB. Paypal f&f, money order or personal check are ok.
Pay attention to the arrows on the windage and elevation knobs. Warner made 2 versions, that worked in opposite directions.

Before you criticize another man, you should walk a mile in his shoes. That way, when you criticize him, you'll be a mile away from him, . . . and you'll have his shoes.

This sight is commonly used in highpower and long range shooting. IIRC, there are 2 popular bases attached to the receiver that the sight attaches to. I don't recall the names of the two bases. This sight fits the more common one of the two. Someone will know.

Warner is a top of the line highpower & long range sight. That one looks like it fits the standard Redfield mount. They came in 1/2 & 1/4 minute click adjustment. Windage adjustment came in standard & service rifle adjustment. This one looks like the standard version.
The rear aperture looks like a Gehmann, maybe?? With adjustable iris & colored light filter.
Front looks like a Centra with a variable aperture. Fits on a standard dovetail mount.
Nice setup for the serious shooter.

Really surprised it has not sold. Warner Sights were the Cadillac of Long Range Iron Sights. They were made in New Hampshire by Warner Tool Company. Alan Warner the owner is a noted rifle builder and gunsmith. Very involved with the US Palma Rifle Team. Has not made a run of these sights for years. In the mid 90's till today. His sights are what all others are judged against. Today his focus is on rifle building, bullet making and custom dies.

These sights are still highly sought after. They accept standard Redfield rail mounting attachment and Gehman, Centra aperatures. Quality was paramount, they looked like a piece of mechanical jewelry. A good visual comparison is a M&P mold.
