    MVA Tang Sight Install Question

I’ve bought a MVA tang sight and need a little help figure if out which direction the base faces. I think I’ve figured it out but just want to pass it through people here to make sure I didn’t completely mess this up! I’ve attached a picture of the way I have it installed and I’m just wondering if the long side goes toward the action or does the short side. The staff is perpendicular with the barrel so I’m assuming I have it correct.

This is an 1885 miroku low wall

Most folks will mount it on a high wall with the long part of the base to the rear. The way you have it mounted isn't wrong, but if with the sight set on zero you're probably going to be looking at the back of the hammer. Which doesn't hurt much except you will be loosing quite a bit of the elevation adjustment.
Long range rules, the rest drool.

That’s what I was kind of afraid of. So it sounds like it really doesn’t matter which way the mount is facing then? It can go Either way? I guess I will flip it around tonight and see how it works that way.
