WTB a few different sizes of buckshot to try

Hello. We run dogs and shoot deer with buckshot. My Dad is getting older, and wants to move to a 20 gauge hunt with. I want to try the loads I've seen Wade Rush post about on Youtube.

If anyone has a pound or so of .29, .30 and .31 hardcast buckshot they would part with so I can figure out what his shoots before I order a mold, it would be much appreciated.

Let me know what you have and what you want for it. Thanks

000 is the size for deer. I also loaded some hot 00, just 9 in the load and it reached out and touched some. I run dogs in eastern Carolina and some places you can only use a shotgun. I know from actually killing deer, what works.

    I like 000 and load 00 now, but I don't thinkbtheyll work well in a 20?

I tried some buckshot loads in my Winchester 24 20 ga. Of all the shot sizes I tried, it seemed to shoot "T" (.020") the best.

I appreciate it. I wouldn't shoot a deer with T shot though. Would like to make a #1 load stacked by 2s that will shoot a tight 40 yard pattern.

Why is hitting a deer with a couple 90 grain round ball so much more effective than slamming him with a 500 grain chunk of lead moving at 1300 fps in the form of a slug ?? Is bird shot more effective than being hit with a .44 magnum ?? Buckshot is illegal in Ohio just for those reasons ....
