"Sold" gun prices have been fluctuating wildly over the past year, so the Gold Standard for determining it's true value (how much somebody's willing to pay, TODAY) would be to surf online auction websites (google) for ONLY "sold" steel framed Super Bearcat's that have changed hands recently.
Remember, when surfing those websites, "opening bid", "Reserve" & "But it Now' (BIN) dollar amounts are NOT values - they are somebody's asking price.

The lgs had a minty in the box one 2 weeks ago for 450.00 and it lasted about 3 days. Kinda funny cause the same consigner brought in an original bearcat in nice shape but with a cheap holster instead of a box at the same price and its still there.
Thanks guys; in looking over just the opening bid for most listings, the price is really up there. I would assume that's the minimal the seller would accept providing there isn't a reserve price as well. Seems ~ $699 for a NIB. I know I wouldn't pay that much, when I bought the pistol I paid ~ $225.
You know what "assume" does, right ?
Many "opening bids" & "reserve" dollars are only a seller's dream.
If nobody actually buys it, it's obviously not worth the asking.
As stated above, "opening bids" are not a value - the true value is what it actually sells for. (aka: the proof is in the pudding)

I just went through 3 pages of closed auctions on gunbroker. Looks like regular blue steel frame Bearcats usually sell for between $400 and $500.
