    Weaver scope & peep sights

I recently acquired an old Weaver 330 scope that's in decent shape, but it's missing the post or crosshairs. Are they replaceable?

I also got 3 peep sights:
    Lyman 66 WJS (great condition)
    Lyman 66 W88 (not bad)
    Redfield W (not bad)

None have the mounting bases. I called Lymans and they were not helpful. Where do you find the bases, and how do you know which one to use?

You are going to have to look on eBay, I think, you will need to know what the base looks like from pictures. Also the Redfield bases will need to be the model with no quick release button or you will need the sleeve nut too.

Check with Champion's Choice, they cater to the target shooting fraternity. Last I knew they carried these bases.

The scope will have to go to the pros to fix. I agree about the sights- ebay or GPC.

    .

The 66 sight is designed for mounting on flat receivers, such as lever action rifles, like the Winchester 94, Marlin 336 or modern shotguns

The upper mechanisms will fit all bases, but the bases determine which rifle they will work on. (the base model should be stamped into the lower surface of the various bases)

66A (fits Win. 94 - pre. angle eject)

    66LA (fits Marlin 336, 1894 and 1895)

    66MC (fits Marlin 39A)

    Product numbers available: 3662214, 3662215, 3662218

Besides Olympic-style target receiver sights, Redfield made different hunting receiver sight uppers, the micro-adjustable Model 70's & Model 80's, and the grub-screw sliding adjustment Model 102 - all of which came with various different bases for different rifles.

This is a sight base chart for the Model 70
