as much as I like the freedom to concealed carry, I kind of like the "shall" issue permits due to the fact that you have to have taken a class on firearm use and safety. I have seen to many idiots that have no business owning a gun much less being able to conceal carry.

Have no fear rancher. Everywhere this has been enacted the people have come through and been responsible. Maybe the fools know they are? I don't know, but it's been working. Trust freedom and responsible people.

Well. Criminals go through no training to carry. They just do it.
If you have to pay the government 1 red cent or jump through any hoop, then it is not a right.

Look at it this way, those who would do bad things with a gun will do it anyway and you won't know it until it is too late.

My family was in pigeon forge last week. Went to the pirate show. The 3 ladies in the group had their purses searched and the men had to take our guns to the vehicles. This was on July 1st

Was it properly posted that firearms are not allowed? Even though permits are no longer required, businesses can dictate that firearms are not allowed if posted properly.

In Kentucky even with a posted sign all the business can do is ask you to leave. I don't see where you gained anything if the business can search anyone they want to. I should have protested as this violates your personal rights.

To further expand carry options in the State of Kansas; "Kansas is a shall-issue, constitutional carry state. ... Open and concealed carry are legal without a license in Kansas. Anyone at least 18 years of age that is not prohibited from carrying a firearm may openly carry a firearm in public without a license or permit." Been this way for about a year now. Odd thing is, to this day I haven't seen anyone open carry.
