    Made a patching board

    Team.

Made a rudimentary board this evening. Once I got my head round to use it the board works GREAT. Highly recommend.

Yeah, Come on Jeff. You know better than to post about a new gizmo and not have pictures along with it. Esp now that I have started paper patching for my 45-70 I need all the help I can get.

Best wishes from the Boer Ranch,

If Jeff doesn't have a camera, you can look at this one for right twist rifling. It was Jeff's inspiration...

You mean to say the twist matters? he11 when I spent that day throwin em all into one hole,I wrapped em any ol way. Just always to the same height, then ran em through my 458 sizer

I even had them crooked, uneven, and some overlapped. One batch I wrapped upside down, starting the wrap at the base.
Once I got the size correct, they were all winners.
I use smokeless, so the properties of black powder are probably different.
All I know is it works better than store bought.
