Im in the process of making a few new front sights for a few of my sixguns. These will be silver solder type.
What size do you cut the radius on the underside of the sight base, where it touches the barrel?
If the barrel is 3/4” dia, would the base radius be 3/8”?
Or is it a smidge bigger or smidge small to allow for solder flow?
Do you have to allow for the barrel taper?
