I tried a few different powders, but kept coming back to a 90% of max. charge with IMR 4350 and 150 gr. bullets.

OK People. Enough of this idle chit-chat.

I tried several loads including factory loads. Found the magic out of my A-bolt Browning with 48 gr IMR 4064 and 130 gr Nosler Ballistic Tip (max load). Off the bench shrunk baseball size groups to 1 1/2” at 300 yds and I ain’t that good!

I've been shooting 46 grains of 4064 with a Sierra 130 Pro Hunter for a few years out of my Sako Fiberclass. Really good load. Not sure about how it works on our Whitetail but does wonders on Coyotes!

150 grain RCBS boolit and 10 grains of Red Dot took two deer last year. A bit faster is 34 grains of 748 with the same boolit.
I have put together three CB loads for my Mod. 70 270 especially since Nevada Cast Boolit Shoot a couple weeks ago. All are for iron sights. For a long range load good to 400 yards I will be using a 118 gr Lyman Loverin boolit from an old mold and 13 gr of Red Dot. For my 100 yard target load I will be using a 128 gr boolit from an NOE mold also with 13 gr. of Red Dot ( why this boolit seems to begin destabilizing at 250 yards but wonderful at 100 is a mystery so far). For my hunting load my best has been the 140 gr Lee boolit in front a charge of 3031 giving an MV of about 2000 fps. I am not yet at the testing point when I call "If it ain't broke,..." but I am getting close.
another load i had good luck is 56 gr imr4955 & 130 gr bullet
marlin 56gr that is near a compressed load ,i would think
I recently purchased a Ruger no 1 in270 Win and have loaded some 130gr Hornady SP ahead of 52 gr of 2209 powder, which is sold in the States as H4350, I am hopeful it will give me a good deer load. Regards Stephen
