Can Lee Lead Hardness Tester Be Used On A Swaged Brass Jacket?

Wondering how hard the brass jacket is on my swaged .44 bullets that started life as .40 cal brass.

I have a Lee Lead Hardness Tester.

Would the Lee Lead Hardness Tester return any useful readings if used on an annealed brass jacket?

Is there some other way to determine brass hardness?

Bullets were made using a process shown at:

I would think it could be used to get a 'relative' value. Have you tried it on different annealed batches or different brands of brass?
Are you thinking of testing the bullets or just the jackets?
