    Old CH die set in box

    Dated 14 June 1962
    Unused in the box.
    They sure took lots of pride of packaging back then.
    It's even made to be a display.
    Look at the price. $13.50
    I wonder what that is in 2021 dollars?????.

    This was nothing new for packaging then, The Ch Box was late 1950's maybe early 1960,s . Remember there was no plastic Then. Most if not all Items were packed in Paper box . simple in design cheap to Manufacture
    simple Die Cut and scored to create
    At that time there were a multitude of Printers , and Die Cutters in the US. Simple metal Plates and Printing Ink.

    To put that into proper context of "then vs. now", it means the same item today would be $115.88. Which means the original "cheap" looking $13 price was actually quite costly by today's standards.

    That price reality applies to virtually everything we now see and lust for when looking at old catalogs. At this moment, THESE are the "good old days."

    What I meant "NO Plastic" was In the 1950/ early 1960. White Board, Clay Coated board and Corrugated Box was the preferred to produce packaging. Vacuum Forming was a new field. One of The first Item to be formed were children toys.
    At that time Box board was the King Of package products. Every major city Had a box printer and die cutter
