    Ruger Redhawk in .41 Mag

I spotted an older Ruger Redhawk in .41 mag. a few days ago in a small family owned gun store
    in North Pole AK.
Haven’t seen one of those in a while.

I should add that I left with the .357 version that was from the same gentleman
    selling his collection off.

I probably should pick the .41 up also.
I have a special connection to the .41 mag cartridge!
Back in 1970 I was desperately looking for a .44 Mod. 29! The old Frontier Sporting Goods on Second Ave. in Fairbanks got a Mod . 57 in . It was the 41 mag version of course.
I bought it and that fall I shot my first big game with a handgun. A caribou.
Back then , hunting with a handgun was considered a stunt! I was immediately taken in by the challenge of it.
I have been a dedicated, exclusive handgun( revolver ) hunter since. 51 years ago this year!

The one in the local shop is a 7 1/2” stainless.

I have an original one 5.5” barrel. Love it.
Many moons ago I passed on a blued one dirt cheap and still regret it til this day.

Bought a stainless 7.5” a month or two ago, still haven’t gotten it to the range. Would like to find one with a 5.5” barrel.

My first center-fire handgun was a 7.5" ss Redhawk, like an idiot, I traded it years ago, and regretted it ever since.

In 1984, I bought the first 41 mag Redhawk I saw when I got back in the US from military service in Germany. It is a 7 1/2" Stainless. I have tried mightily but can't wear it out. I'm not getting rid of it ever.

I have 2 stainless RedHawks, consecutive serial numbers, both 7 1/2”. My Dad has a 5 1/2” Redhawk. Elusive chambering in the Redhawk. Have more fun and get it down with a 41, goes the saying, right?

Nice find on getting that .357...they are a VERY rare gun...

Have had four Redhawhawks... First was a 7.5" stainless .44 with the ring cuts on the barrel. Next was a 5.5" stainless .41... Both were sold off a long time ago. When Ruger ran two limited edition .41s with the 4.2" and 2.75" barrels I bought one of each. The 4.2" has one the best DA of anything I have ever fired. Shot a 6" group at 50 yards standing with that gun...

Hope you are able to get the other one also...
