At some point in your life, you were introduced to guns and shooting. And possibly later, introduced to the "dark side"- black powder.
A group of us are engaged in giving back to youth in the form of serving as instructors in youth organizations. The initial effort started prior to Covid and we got in one good summer with the BSA at a local camp in NC. It was quite successful and we were on the road to greatly expand. There is a huge shortage of qualified instructors in muzzleloading and lots of misinformation on utoob and the net. Well, this week we got back at it and we worked with 29 Scouts in two camps in NC. So to the point, we have support from Schutzen Energetics thanks to Tambi. We had 5 1863 Remington muskets aka "Zouave" on loan from N-SSA member PJ Kelly. Lead is obtained through monies from speaking engagement honorariums. We cast the bullets, we make the ammo, we work with the kids as a result. Here's a couple pix from pre Covid and last week.
