    Powder prices for your edification.

    Hopefully this will be readable, it's a photo from an old Hodgdon manual, I was digging through my pile of old manuals looking for load data for the 280 Ross and not finding much.

    Isn't that a shocker!

    But I did find this:

    Click image for larger version.

Name:	hodgdon powder price list.jpg

    And it would have been delivered by your friendly local mailman with no hazmat fee.

    50 pounds $95.

    Just out of lazy curiosity what would the $95 of what ever year your manual is from be in our current times?

    I am only taking a guess. $2679.00 I used a redneck formula though.. McDonalds hamburgers .25 cents at the time. Now a conservative price is $6.50, for a hamburger which is 26 times more than the .25 one. LOL This should deep us going for a while.

    Well when I was out and about last week, I picked up an 8 lb. jug of CFE 223 for $250. 50/8 is 6.25 jugs in today's world if the math in my head is right.

    250x6.25=1562.5

    WOOHOO! Gun powder inflation is lower than McDeath's.

    Who woulda thunk it.

    And the powder wasn't even for me, it was for a buddy who had flat out run out and loads and shoots a lot in different cartridges.

    My biggest concern with powder is shooting up enough that my daughter doesn't take my name in vain when I'm drooling in my soup down at the county farm.

    A plain hamburger at McDonalds is $6.50, that’s insane!
