I have a lee 311-100-2r and I am having trouble finding data for a cast 100gr bullet. I have Unique and H110 on hand and am leaning towards a 6-6.5 charge of Unique.

https://hodgdon.com/h110/ has load data for a 100gr bullet.
Thank you for the reply but I saw that data and it is for a jacketed soft point. I was hoping to find data for lead projectiles.

RCBS Cast Bullet Manual N0.1
30 Carbine - Ruger Blackhawk - 7 1/2" bbl.- Handgun Section
RCBS # 30-115-SP Cast w/ GC , note the bullet is 115 gr. , loads with 100 gr. boolit will be safe and give you an idea of velocity .
Unique Powder :
5.0 grs = 975 fps - start load
6.0 grs. = 1167 fps - max load
Lyman Cast Bullet Handbook 4th edition
30 Carbine - Rifle - Universal Reciever - 20" bbl.
Lyman # 311359 - 115 gr. SP Cast w/ GC
Unique Powder :
5.5 grs. = 1388 fps - start load
6.5 grs. = 1555 fps - max load
With your 100 gr. boolit and a gas check , your plan of starting at 6.0 and slowly working up to a max of 6.5 grs. (if needed) Unique should be a safe one . The 30 Carbine in a handgun is rather LOUD !
Are you sure your boolit is Lee 311-100-2R ... I don't see this in their latest catalog ...check the weight just to be sure and on the safe side .

Ruger BH or M1 Carbine?

M1 Carbine and I casted the bullets myself so I'm sure of the mold. I sized them to .309 after powder coat

I have been using 12.5gr of 2400 for my 105gr cast lead bullets for many years in my M1 Carbine.

I have seen in the searching for data that 2400 is quite popular for the M1. I haven't been able to source it locally or online for a decent price.
I'm also hoping to use these same projectiles for 7.62x25 Tokarev.

I use Accurate 31-100T in both the 7.62x25 and .30 Carbine with 7.4 grains of AutoComp. Most accurate loads in my 1953 Polish TT and Ruger Blackhawk in .30 Carbine. Also cycles my Inland US Carbine and drops cases at my feet.

Unique is probably not the best way to go in the M1 Carbine. I know Lyman lists a Unique load but I've owned 5-6 carbines in my career and have not gotten the Unique load to function. It will fire and you can get good accuracy but so far, I haven't gotten one to function the action.
2400 is the best bet and you can use date for the 110s and still be safe./beagle
diplomacy is being able to say, "nice doggie" until you find a big rock.....
The max load of Unique with my Lee 113s that weigh 120grs will eject the fired round and cock the hammer- but the bolt doesn't come back quite enough to pick up a new round. It makes my wife's Howa Sporter into an auto eject straight pull bolt action.
H110, W296, or 2400 are on my grocery list!

I use WC820 and AA9 for my M1 Carbine loads; works great. Lyman's 311359GC.

I’ve had good luck with Lil’Gun when I couldn’t find 2400.
My experience has been the same as the others. The Unique load is good, accuracy wise, but it doesn’t usually work the action.

Of the two powders you listed, I think the H-110 will be your friend.
GONRA knows 13.5 gn. IMR 4227, CCI 400 primers, .309" diameter 119 grain Lyman U311359 cast GAS CHECK boolits function Just Fine in U.S. M1 & M2 carbines, Japanese Howa copies.....
Blast Away. BANG BANG BANG......
Worked my way up to 6.5 gr of Unique and the action wouldn't pick up a new round. I figured this would be the case because of all of the information I've read on using Unique.
Switching to H110 and looking for data and experience with 100gr projectiles.

Uh, guys, while I'm sure your loads are good for your gas checked bullets, Mopar85's bullet is a plain base. Since H110 cannot be safely downloaded, I would stay away from that powder. Just MHO.

Are you powder coating or using conventional lube? I powder coat and shoot plain bae boolits all the time with zero problems. I just loaded some Lyman 313631 boolits that I was given to try over 14grns of H-110 and they did very well. In fact I am planning on getting an Arsenal mold of a very similar design
There is essentially no difference between the loading tables for jacketed bullets and lead bullets as the tables go by bullet weight and not bullet material. The differences are charges for the lower velocities as lead bullets will lead the bore (regardless of a gas check) at the higher velocities. I stopped using lead bullets in my M1 Carbines years ago as even though you may not be getting lead in the bore you will be probably be getting a bit of lead in the gas chamber with each shot. After shooting a bunch of lead bullets my carbine stopped functioning as the gas cylinder was packed with lead, the accumulation of tiny particles of lead that eventually filled the gas cylinder up and jamming the piston at full extension. It took a lot of work to carve that lead out without scratching the bore of the gas cylinder. The gas cylinder of the M1 Carbine was not designed to be disassembled frequently so these days I use nothing but 110 grain soft nosed bullets.
