Arsenal 45 Wadcutter molds vs 454424

I'm looking at molds for .45 Colt and have more or less narrowed it down to the following but I'm still open to suggestions. For the immediate future these will be for handguns with 2.5-4" barrels.

    Lyman 454424 Keith
    Arsenal 45-200-DEWC
    Arsenal 45-250-FWC

I'm open to comments, opinions and ideas.

That Lyman mold is no longer made. It's been replaced by the #452424. Also O.A.L. is an iffy proposition. If loading for a Colt SAA or a clone it may be too long for the cylinder.
If you want a SWC, then N.O.E. has a Beautiful copy of the #452423, #453-247-SWC. It drops the best bullets for paper punching you could want. And loaded length is short enough for about any revolver.
Or the 250 WC if ya gotta have a Full WC.

I saw a picture of 11 different versions of the 454424. It varied in nose length, band width, grooves and weight. It is my favorite mold but you have to hunt to find two that match.
I would look at accurate molds for a comparison as to what you want. He does a quick turnaround on orders.

I think I'm going to give this a go in the 230gr version.

I have a DC 454-424 Lyman & a NOE Clone and both shoot great. I also have an old Lyman 454-309 full wad cutter it is in the neighborhood of 235 gr. I have shot that out of an old Ruger
Black Hawk and a RedHawk and the WC shoots almost as good as the 424 bullet.
