What Spring and Buffer for a 300BLK with a A2 Stock

Building a 300 Block out with a 16 inch barrel, pistol gas length with a adjustable gas block. Want to use a A2 type fixed rifle stock. Will the rifle spring and buffer that came with the stock work? or should I use a carbine spring and buffer using a spacer? Rifle will not be suppressed and use mostly for super sonic rounds. Lee 155gr or noe 220gr bullet .

One would think that it would work; but I'm curious, too. My .300BO uses carbine gas and buffer so im no help there.

I would think it would work just fine, but mine is a carbine gas system, but I just use the stock spring/buffer

Rifle buffer and an H3 are really close in weight and both can vary slightly due to manufacturer. With adjustable block should be okay, just study ejection pattern and tune accordingly.

i use a standard buffer and spring in my ar 300 bo rifle. Only differnce is in my 2 pistols ive found a carbine lenght spring works better then a shorter pistol spring. that is for full power. I dont shoot bos subsonic so have no suggestions for that.

every ar can be different depending on how gas system is working. I would think the 16 inch barrel would use the carbine buffer but you just need to try it and go from there. some add a quarter to the buffer spring to adjust and some cut a little off, if it works as is, I would leave it alone.

Ok, it worked for me with carbine length gas and rifle buffer. Yes, the curiosity won.. It fired 2 each of 110,125, and 150 gr. J words just like normal. I put this mutt together to find out. All parts are back where they belong now.....

No problem, with adjustable pistol gas on yours, surely it'll work.
