Ten cavities. How much does that thing weigh?

It takes a while to get the cadence down to manage the heat in one of those large molds that produces small bullets. Good thing we have started using hot plates to get started. I've got a 115 grain 30 carbine mold that you can't go slow with. I saw a high capacity 380 mold that looked to be a challenge for the caster.

I have a 6 cavity #331 that is a dream to cast with.
That is my go to 9mm bullet and I cast thousands of them at a time.
    A mould guide is MANDATORY!

    That's a beauty (and a beast)! Congratulations!

How do you get the sprue plate open with all those sprues to cut, esp when at less than optimal temp?

I have a 10 cavity S55 (95 gr 380 bullet) that is similar. I just lay the mould down, rotate the mould a bit clockwise, and whack the end of the sprue plate.
i think the weight of the sprue plate alone helps cut the bullets.
