Well, sorry for the delay, but that's the limbo we have been in as well. She finally got to see the doctor with the biopsy test results yesterday. The cancer is back (we already knew that part) BUT it HAS NOT transformed into something more agressive or dire. So the meds will very much treat it, but she may be on them for the rest of her life. She got home thanks to my Aunt who takes us where we need to go. She has been so weak she has barely been able to make it to the bathroom and back on her own. We ate some chicken (she's been starving for livers) they picked up on the way home. We got home to find the doctors office calling frantically (they had my grandmother's number, and my aunts, they didn't call any of them). They wanted her back to the hospital in the ER immediately. Blood work came back and her Hemoglobin was 4. Just 4. For a woman it is supposed to be 12 to 15.5. They rushed back, the hospital got her into a room four or five hours later, got her onto saline, and by midnight started the first unit of blood. It took 3 units of blood before she got to minimum levels. Finally at 2 pm today she was able to come home. She isn't nearly as weak, is upbeat, talkative, eating better, etc. Praise the Lord. So, we are waiting on the meds to get here, they will watch her hemoglobin levels now, and things are looking up.
That's the update. I'm so glad it's a good one.
Thanks, and God Bless!
Richard
