When I was just a kid I would grab the RWS pellet gun when I got off the school bus and pop every starling I could. My dad called them "rats with wings". They have moved into soffits in my house over the years, I don't think there is anything on earth I would rather shoot for no reason and kill all of its offspring, they are disgusting animals.

I got a service call, power out to half the house. No power on one of the 240 legs. Someone shot the triplex to the house with a pellet gun, the aluminum wire corroded and burned through. I hadn't thought about shooting near wires up to that point.

I've done some great starling shooting in my yard with the CCI CB shells which seem to have just enough power to be very accurate within 50 yards. That's about the limit though. Out to 25 yds. I'll do head shots with my scoped Rem 511. None of the air rifles I've got offer that kind of accuracy. jd
It seems that people who do almost nothing, often complain loudly when it's time to do it.
