    1891 Marlin

I looked at an 1891 Marlin yesterday in .32 (.32 Colt?) that can fire rimfire or center fire. Now, from what I read, they were shipped with two firing pins, but the salesman told me that the firing pin that's in the rifle can be used for both.
Nice rifle, too pricey for me ($1150) and I already have am 1889 Marlin .32-20. But the firing pin set up is interesting.

I think you take it apart and flip the pin around in the bolt, but not 100% on that. Neat gun, takes heeled boolits. Gun broker has a guy on there you can get it all, reloadable cases and the lead.

Rimfire and center fire are separate firing pins. You swap them like the 1892s. Wisners gun parts has them.

    .

AFAIK, very early 1891's came with a dual FP, the later 91's had two FP's - one of which was factory stored under the buttplate…….

IDK if they still do, but Winchester used to make a few runs of CF .32 Short Colt every year - I used to get mine @ www.ktp.com

That is how mine is. Got a centerline pin awhile ago off of Ebay.
