Temp electronic meters

Has any one tried the meter that Lyman makes. it uses a k type probe.

I don't buy any thing from Lyman because of there customer service. There are lots of good meters that use K type probes and I have used the K type for years.

IOON which one would you recommend for using to verify what the temp the pot is running at?

The one I am using is a Nicety DT 804 that I bought on flee bay several years ago, I check my RCBS Pro melt temp to keep it around 700 F to 720 F.
I also use it to check the temp of my oven for Hi-Tek coating by using a different style K type probe.
I think I paid less than $30.00 for it but I am sure the price is higher now as every thing cost more.
