    WTB: N-Frame Grips

I'm really struggling to find out which grips feel good to me and handle recoil best, so I want to try a few different type out before ordering a $200+ custom set. Looking for Bear Hug grips, Skeeter Skelton grips (i.e. Blu Magnum) and Roper style. Prefer wood. I have average sized hands, and a few N-frames to equip (round and square butt). Hoping someone has a box of grips laying around that I can put to use. Thanks.

    Pachmayr Grippers?

May i suggest you take a good look at Pachmayr Grippers? I had the same problem with my N frame guns and resolved it with those grips.
They just feel RIGHT to me.

Thanks for the recommendation. I tried a friend's years ago and felt the closed backstrap interfered with proper trigger reach, but I should revisit them.

Still looking? I have a pair of Pachmayr Decelerators for the n-frame square butt. In the package, but screw missing. Excellent shape.

Other than a pair of BearHugs or Shooting Star grips I think I'm set for now, but thanks.

You may or may not know it, but Pachmayr grips can be had in sizes. Back in my police revolver days, my S&W model 65 came with large sized such grips, and they were too big for me, affecting my qualification scores. When I got the smaller size, the problem went away.

My N-Frame has a set of VZ grips on it. Bonus: they're on sale this weekend.
