SPF Up for sale is a project Swedish M38 Mauser (Husqvarna) sporter. Over 10 years ago or so, I started to convert some of my spare mausers into sporters (all at once-a mistake). Now, I ran out of health and don’t desire to finish most of the projects. So, I would like to offer it up to some talented gun enthusiast. Here’s where I got. The front and rear sights were removed. The end of the barrel was cut and recrowned. The barrel length is 22". The bore is smooth with strong rifling, as well as bright and shiny. The bolt handle was bent for a scope. It needs to be filed and polished. The receiver top was drilled and tapped for weaver bases which are still on the receiver. It shoots great as it is right now, but the stock needs replacing. It was accurate and held tight groups. All part numbers are matching. There is some rust at the rear of the receiver tang area. The Weaver K3 scope and stock are not included. I can include the stock. But I doubt it is worth the cost of shipping. It could be the beginning of a fine sporter.
