    RCBS Cowboy Expander

New to loading cast boolits. Ready to load my first batch that have been PC. I have acquired a RCBS Cowboy expander (401) to use to prep the case before bullet seating. I feel I have it set properly. I tried a few and knocked out the boolits with a bullet hammer. I noticed by using the hammer/puller it stripped the PC off to the lead on the bands. I feel this would not happen when firing/shooting the cartridge as it should expand when fired, leaving the boolit fully coated. Is this a concern or no? Thanks!

You need to inside-deburr the case mouths to remove the wire edge from the factory pinch-trim, then they should not scrape PC from the bands when seated. If bare, unlubricated lead contacts the bore the loads WILL foul!
