    French made MR73 revolver. Amazing!

Never heard of these before. Apparently they are the French version of the Korth and are now being imported by Beretta. But, they have an MSRP of $3000.

Spendy, but they are amazing revolvers. You have to watch the video to truly appreciate how impressive these guns are.

I believe that that is a Manurhin revolver from France. They built P38 and PP Walthers after WW2 and the revolvers since the 1970s, I believe. I had a P1( P38) built by them and the quality was first rate.

I want one but that $3,300 price tag is kind of hard to swallow.

Supposedly, they were tested with 50,000 rounds of full power .357 and didn't jump timing or shoot loose.

A lot of people will make the argument that the Mr73 is superior to the Korth on the basis of the adjustable trigger weight, and how it doesn't effect the hammer spring.

Both are absolutely fantastic, and it's great to see them ramping up production for the US market. I definitely plan on getting one someday.

Some are north of 170,000 rounds.

Truly a fine gun. I am a Python man... But side by side the mr73 makes my python look like a RIA revolver....

I'm not a korth fan... Don't like barrel shrouds on a revolver.

I'm sure the MR73 would be my top choice if I needed a gun to fire 150 .357 Magnum rounds every day for years on end. However I doubt those requirements will ever be part of my (or 99.999999% of peoples) day to day routine.

IMHO, this is an expensive toy,,
people who actually earn a living with a gun have 0% need for the accuracy of this gun,,
people who actually earn a living with a gun will not have a budget that will support this gun,,
people who actually earn a living with a gun need more rounds per reload,,
people who actually earn a living with a gun must have faster reloads than this gun,,
people who actually earn a living with a gun,,, well, I think I could go on at least a dozen more reasons that this is a toy,,,

And these crazy high number of rounds and reliability,, I think I have heard those types of numbers about most high volume production handguns at one time or another over the last 50 years,,,
that type of reliability is needed to get high volume sales,,

OOPS,, your gun failed at only 200 reloads,, it is a manufacturing fluke,, it will be taken care of under warranty,,,

Weird post.. How many people make a living with a gun..or any of those things you mentioned.

And you made a miss spelling.. That's 'tool' ..not 'toy'.

If I made as much money as some folks I know, I would have one of these on order already. "Only accurate guns are interesting guns," and these take the cake. There is something enormously appealing about the idea of a gun that shoots where you point it. If you miss, it's your fault and therefore within your control to improve.

I have a 357mag Encore and even my most accurate loads for it probably aren't as good as what they shot in that video... hard to tell though, since James and Co. are much better pistol shots than I will ever be!

At the range yesterday, it was starting to rain so we were packing up and I had fresh targets at the 100 yard mark. I still had my Glock G23 and R1 1911 out, so shot at two different targets with each pistol.

    The 1911...

    Attachment 282824

    Then the Glock...

    Attachment 282825

Pretty impressive, until I disclose that I fired 5 shots with each pistol and only 1 out of those 5 hit the target.

I will have to bring my Ruger Bisley next time and see what it can do.

    That's a nice looking revolver.
And that's a preference based appraisal, the same as whether a gun is "accurate" or not.

Awfully spendy. I've shot some fine groups with my S&W M19-3 which I acquired for one sixth that price.

I’m not real taken with modern revolvers. That being said, if I was going to buy one a Manurhin would be it. For the time being I’m trying to convince myself I can live without a new AutoMag.

If I was going to spend that kind of money, I would probably be spending it on something else. I am not afraid of spending money, I bought a Barrett M82A1 just a little over a year ago. I have a 357 mag. a used M15 Dan Wesson. I think it is as accurate as the MR73 and just as pretty and my Dan Wesson SuperMag in 357 Max. is prettier The MR73 might have a nicer double action trigger. About that, I don't care, I would not pay $2000+ for that trigger that I don't use.
I hope they sell a lot of them. I just would spend my money on something else.

Wow....glad it's just an opinion. I shudder to think what you'd say about my firearms...which probably never had a warranty.
