I picked up a pretty nice 357 max barrel with a TC 2-7 scope. Was wondering about the quality of the scope and what loads to shoot in the max. Of course it has the tapered leade instead of a rifle throat, but will it shoot accurately as-is. might like to see if it'll shoot some 300 grain subsonic. if so, I may see about threading it for my suppressor (if bullets are stable).
I still haven't shot it, so need to start somewhere. I have a NOE 180gr GC wfn mold and three rifle molds 200-225 grain GC as well as the 35 thumper.
Be a shame to shoot 38 special or 357 mag velocities, but that is likely where I'll stay. The heavier bullets will give it a little more power anyway
Thanks. if anyone has a pet load for a factory TC 10" 357 max, I'm all ears.
Got $200 in the barrel and scope. Guess its a pretty good deal. wasn't sure about the scope when I got it.
