    500 meter & .22 ultra match july 31

It was already on our schedule. Anderson County Ky. is having a 500 meter .22 ultra match on Saturday July 31st with our regular match to follow on August 1st. Our club built a 600 yard range last year. We only have one scheduled this year. We hope you can come see us.

    Here is the plan.
    Handguns only.
Practice starts at 9:00am. Match starts at 12:00pm.
Free standing targets for .22. Two sighters at each distance for the full size targets. We do not have enough targets to provide free standing.
Any questions tell me on this thread I have a pm.

Think I'll pass. Too far to drive. Plus don't want to use up my stash of Thunderbolts...LOL

Seriously, it would be a hoot to attend something like that and see what real shooters can do. No way I would even get close to making one hit with my skill (or should I say lack of skill) set. 500 yards with a .22 handgun is one heck of an accomplishment.

    Looking forward to your report!!

A little clarification. The 500 meter game is with centerfire handguns. 22 Ultra is the regular 3/8 scale 22 targets which are set at Big Bore distances, 50-100-150, and 200.

Thanks Charlie for the clarification. I should have put that in the original post.

Sorry guys...me is just an ignorant hillbilly.

But IMO even with a centerfire, 500 m is some darn fine shooting.

Time is getting closer. A club in Indiana has donated us 40 targets and the stands for them. We will have free standing targets. If you are within the sound of my voice bring your best and come see us. I already have a few commitments from out of state shooters. I hope they make it.
