Thanks Whole bunches. I will try the mold I have. It is basically like your mold. Now I need to get on those Nagant cases. I need to chop of about a quarter inch and fire form them.

If you think your bullet diameter is a bit small, the chance of blowby causing leading can be eliminated by using either some cereal packing(I use 'natural bran'),or a wad under the bullet base.

Don’t know if this helps out but my Cadet had been rechambered to .32-20. I did a cerrosafe chamber cast and wound up using .32-20 brass but blowing it out to accept a Western Bullet Co .321 150 gr cast bullet [not a heeled bullet]. I resize the brass in a .30 carbine sizer. My case to chamber dimensions are very close. Actual .32-20 bullet dimensions are way too small for the Cadet bore. A great little carbine.

    Baltimored,

After doing more research. I think I will try to cut down the nagant brass expand brass with 30 carbine die,
fire form with a sized round ball. Do you think that would work. I have never fire formed anything before. I was thinking 2 to 3 grains of unique with some filler?

What little resizing you are doing can be done with a full charge and a boolit. I only use a small charge and a wad when I am expanding necks - i.e. from 9mm to 10.5mm.. That is largely because any boolit would be bouncing down the barrel, probably leaving a mess behind.

You might search my post on sizing 30-40 Krag brass to 25 Krag AI - that is massive brass movement.

    Wayne Smith,
Thanks I will look up your post, I just need to expand the case mouth so I can stuff a ball or bullet in there. That was my reasoning behind the 30 carbine die. I can try the wad method first. Thanks
