Seeking a manual for black-powder cartridges

I haven't found any modern offerings, but I assume such a thing must have existed at some point in the past. My current Lyman manual covers muzzle-loaders almost exclusively. Do any of you know a good book on BP cartridges that I can be on the lookout for? This isn't an official WTB thread, but I am in the market.

Mike Venturino & Steve Garbe have written such books, as has Paul Matthews.

For basic how to and figuring BP loads Randolph S Wrights Loading and shooting the paper patched bullet, A beginners Guide is very good. It disnt give any actul data but does tell you how to find the starting load and work up.

Variances in cases powder bullets all affect the black powder load

Heres basically how I do it

With the cases Im using bullets and wads.
Find the overall length of the loaded round I usually start -.010 from this with grease groove bullets
Now measure a bullet and figure how much is in the case and add 1 wad thickness
fill case by hand to this point and weigh
this is the no compression no air space charge.
    Load 5-10 rounds and test
work up in 2 grn increments from this point to best 2 loads and then test mid point

THIS IS FOR REAL BLACK POWDER NOT SUBS OR SMOKELESS
