    WTB: 40-65 brass

Looking for 200 40-65 brass. Either all same headstamp or 100 each of same headstamp. New/used doesn't matter as long as it's in good shape.

    Thanks

I agree with Hairtrigger. At least you'll be shooting instead of looking. It's a little work but it works out just fine. I did this around 6 years ago myself.

You couldn't buy .40/65 brass when I started shooting one. I had to use 45/70 brass and a set of "Form & Trim" dies. Fun and tedious at the same time. Still make a few now and then for fun. Hope you find some it's a nice soft shooting round.
    Good Luck,

Star-line lists 250 at $180.50. Back ordered , no shipping date. Order it and wait woud be my suggestion.

Starline most expensive option is .72 per case. Yeah for now I need 200. PM sent.

I have made many from 45-70 brass. No need for a set of forming dies, just lube the case and run it into the 40-65 FL sizing die. I run the case in a little, lower the ram, turn case and repeat 2-3 times. It only takes 3-4 seconds per case and you are set to go.

I am thinking all my brass marked 40-65 is loaded, I will check this weekend

Many years ago I bought a browning BPCR with a 4065 barrel on it got all excited about the rifle and in reality have shot less than 25 rounds through it
