First I heard of that company. Cool box. Any primers in it?

It's a full box. The Robin Hood Ammunition factory in Vermont blew up in 1912. Their shot shell and .22 boxes are the holy grail of collectors and have been bringing insane prices for years. Some examples:

Saw a box of RH .22 that wasn't in very good shape go for over $1000. a few months ago

Nice one Kent, thanks for sharing.
Most any Robin Hood boxes are quite the prize.
May I ask where you acquired it? Love the old stuff.

Having problems remembering, but for some reason I think I got it from an auction company that was run by the same folks who published Shotgun News. I think they are out of business now. Cost me 32 bucks, IIRC. Was surprised I was the only bid.

I'm not the greatest with a camera as you can tell from the sideways photo, but I'll snap a few pics in a couple days.

In the cartridge collector world, anything made by Robin Hood is a primo price — even in crappy condition I’ve seen them (22 boxes in particular…) go for hundreds, thousands if in NOS condition.

If memory serves me, their factory blew up around the turn of last century? 1910 or thereabouts I believe. Feel free to correct me if I’m wrong, working from memory here..

It’s the holy grail for my collection, one of these, even the crappy ones I don’t have….yet…

JB - one of the guys that helped write the PDF doc, Jerry Hanewinkle is one of the nicest people I’ve ever met online. I’ve gotten a lot of pristine boxes for my collection from him.

Those are some very interesting primers, never heard of Robin Hood brand. Here is a photo of my oldest primers. The Western primer boxes have wooden dividers in them.
