Someone had posted not long ago that he wasn't doing well, he passed yesterday. The show is a favorite of ours. Seems he was a pretty good guy in real life too.

RIP Johnny, your battle is over and rest in God's loving arms.....I will miss you!

I knew it was coming - So sorry to see him go - But happier he is with God
Being human is not for sissies.
I watch the Rifleman nearly everyday and as a boy he was a great actor and had a special relationship with Chuck Connors. I heard he did well in the music business but never followed that part of his life.
RIP Johnny Crawford.

R>I>P> Johnny Crawford . . . . you entertained so many of us in a day when shows and actors/actresses actually taught right from wrong, true justice and true patriotism through their performances . . . . May God Bless you and your family.
That’s sad
RIP Johnny!

I was just watching The Rifleman yesterday. Hard to think they were made over 60 yrs ago. From an era when morals were taught to us all. Johnny had good family, and they were with him to the end. He was a lucky man.
That's sad, and boy am I old. I figured he was in his 40s or 50s by now. Time is a-flyin by.
KE4GWE - - - - - - Colt 1860, it just feels right.
Never met him, but feels like a loss of an old friend. R.I.P. Johnny.
A TV theme on family values that is sadly lacking today,....the the detriment of all.
The Rifleman was always my favorite western, and still is. The stories were always held to high moral & ethical values. Way above the garbage on tv today. Always looked up to Lucas & Mark. May they ride & shoot straight forever in that big range in the sky.
Man 75 years old RIP, Enjoyed his work in TV.
R.I.P. Johnny you will be missed !!!
Keep your powder dry and watch your six !!
I hope there are horses and baseball in Heaven:
Chuck and Johnny loved both!

Sad to see him go. I had read recently he was in failing health. I think it would serve a lot of good if kids today had a role model like Johnny to watch instead of holding a phone in their hand or some video game console control.
