This belonged to my late father. I’m sure he bought or had it rebarreled/drilled/tapped back in the ‘60s with visions of building an elk rifle, but the round tuit never arrived.
I don’t know the barrel manufacturer. Receiver is in the white. I also have the magazine spring and follower. It also has the Buehler safety.
It’s got a nicely-figured walnut stock with ebony forend in the Weatherby-style of the era. I think it might be a Fajen full or semi-inlet, also popular for sporterizing military rifles back then.
Since I have everything except the tools, know-how, time, and any use for a .308 Norma magnum, it’s tempting to finish it myself, but instead I’ll take $450 FTF. Tack on another for $50 shipping to your FFL.
